HEALING WITH HOPE AND LOVE
My interest in this outreach is to inspire people with hope, to show them the power of their own creative vision, to free their conflicted energies, to help them to love themselves better and so open their hearts to more love in their lives. Everywhere I go I seek to create an ongoing autonomous circle. When this happens we keep in touch with each other by a newsletter, and when I return I meet with this circle and consider the next steps in each person's growth.
This is the power of love. Love will heal the world. Here's how it works. When I have enough of my love free to really love you, I can help you to love yourself. You begin to love me and others. We come together as a circle of lovers, helping each other to love ourselves and free our natural love for each other. When a group comes together with a common purpose there is a release of energy which moves them towards their goal and attracts others. The group expands, moving towards the creation of a world community consciousness. It attracts more and more attention because of the clarity of its vision, the purity of its love, the energy of its joy. When a certain amount of people have been drawn to this transformation, a critical mass is achieved and there is a quantum leap of evolutionary consciousness transmitted quickly to all of humanity.
It is not enough to secure our own basic human needs, to live peaceful healthy, abundant, loving and creative lives. While there is still violence, oppression, injustice and terrorism in the world, while there is still disease, starvation, poverty, while there is a sense of isolation and despair among people, while all people have not yet achieved their natural birthright of health, abundance, freedom, love and joy in the beauty and wonder of life, while the earth is not yet the garden of delight for all to share equally, we cannot feel totally content in our own comforts. And when all the problems of humanity on earth have been solved, there is still a vast universe out there to work on.
There is something in us that urges us on. That won't let us quit. That searches frontiers. When we run out of horizons we look up at the stars. To fill the part of us that keeps looking beyond, we need a global vision, and, beyond that, a cosmic vision. We are evolution. We can participate in our evolution consciously with our will and intelligence, opening ourselves to new creativity. With our minds on transformation we direct the course of the future.
When we think of the larger vision, when we think globally and cosmically, our destructive behavior gives way to creativity and a wider consciousness. Humanity is still in its infancy, being nurtured still by a Mother Earth who is in the middle of her life. In her old age, if we survive that long, we must have learned to care for her. When she dies, we must care for ourselves and the life that is beyond. This will require our highest consciousness, the conscious control of evolution. We may remind each other of this when we gather to celebrate. There is power in that reminder.
In order to make a healthy environment in which our children may flourish we must do more than clean up the air and the water. We must remove from our civilization all obstacles to human love, joy, and creativity.
If we are going to fulfill our potential for love we must insure that every human being has shelter, enough to eat and to wear, is protected from disease and violence - especially governmental and institutional violence. We must agree and be committed to a simple, obvious moral necessity - that every child born to woman is entitled to a fair and equal access to the resources of the planet we all share.
If we are going to fulfill our potential and our need for love, we must seek to remove all barriers, tear down the walls that keep us apart. These are walls of fear and dominance. Walls between races and sexes, between generation, between classes, between nations.
In short, we must plan a society that enhances love instead of fear.
To have the world of our dreams, we need only be aware that all is relationship and everything influences everything, then choose the vision of our deepest, most human desire. Our lives can be lived as a love affair, in love with the cosmos, in love with ourselves, in love with transformation, in love with love. By choosing to serve the largest vision we can conceive, we are consciously creating the community of cosmic transformation.
